Air compressor lubricationg oil

Air compressors need specific lubricants and fluids to achieve maximum uptime, performance and lifetime. OEM specifications conforming Molylub CompOil air compressor oils and fluids cover all your needs.

What makes every Molylub CompOil lubricant unique is the mix of additives. These ensure the lubricant will perform just as it should. The right composition of well-balanced additives is essential for the performance and lifetime of the oil.

Molylub CompOil special compressor oil

Molylub CompOil has been developed to resist formation of deposits on rotating components in screw compressors to maintain excellent internal surface cleanliness particularly in oil/air separator and coalescer systems.

With many years of successful application, Molylub CompOil helps provide effective protection of internal metal surfaces from corrosion and wear. It contains an advanced ashless anti-wear system to help prolong the life of critical parts. Molylub CompOil is designed to provide rapid air release without excessive foaming to give trouble-free operation even under cycling conditions.

  • Sullair 24KT
Molylub CompOil Syn PE PAO + POE up to 260 Air compressor oil for service intervals of up to 8,000 hours. The product is specially formulated with PAO (polyalphaolefin) and POE (ester) base oils and is intended for air compressors of various designs. Molylub CompOil Syn PE is used where maximum compatibility with seals, housing materials and plastic parts is important.
Molylub CompOil Syn G PAG up to 230

The synthetic oils of the Molylub Compoil Syn G-Series are special oils based on polyalkylene glycos. The use of a group of selected additives in conjunction with polyalkylene glycols leads these products to low gas solubility, a very low decrease of the viscosity, compared with conventional mineral oil containing products. At applications of high-pressure piston compressors, during the compaction process of hydrocarbon-containing process gases, these special synthetic oils are not diluted by the gas absorption and will not be absorbed by the gas stream and therefore these oils offer a better protection for the piston rings. • Ingersol Rand Ultra Coolant
Molylub CompOil Syn E POE esters up to 270 Air compressor oil for turbochargers for service intervals of up to 8,000 hours. The product is specially formulated with POE (polyol ester) base oils and is intended for air compressors of various designs. For use where maximum compatibility with seals, housing materials and plastic parts is important. Approved by: Vickers Ulstein; ABB Turbo Systems – Form VTR.4-4-010 List 3a.

Specialized air compressor silicone lubrication is designed for high-temperature, severe-duty rotary screw compressors, often acting as a long-life alternative to mineral oils. It protects against oxidation, corrosion, and rust while resisting breakdown. Key applications include Sullair 24KT® systems and high-pressure pumps like the Hill EC3000.

Silicone air compressor oil 24KT

Silicone compressor oils are specialized lubricants used in certain compressors designed for extremely long lubricant life and minimal maintenance. These lubricants use silicone-based base fluids instead of traditional hydrocarbon oils and provide exceptional oxidation resistance, thermal stability, and long-term lubrication performance.

Important Warning: Never mix silicone compressor oil with conventional petroleum-based oil. It is also essential to ensure that your compressor model is specifically designed for use with silicone lubricant before switching.

Silicone-based lubricants are most commonly used in specialized rotary screw compressors and industrial compressor systems engineered specifically for silicone fluids.

Silicone-based compressor oil designed for use in rotary screw compressors. Does not break down under normal operating temperatures and pressures thereby eliminating carbon deposits, sludge and varnish formations. The system stays clean of lubricant by-products resulting in lower maintenance costs. The high viscosity index insures a minimum change in viscosity over the compressor’s temperature range.

Designed to replace OEM silicone fluids in rotary screw compressors. This product is specially formulated with silicone base fluids and appropriate additives to perform over an extremely long period of time. It is fortified against rust, corrosion, oxidation and wear. May be added directly to 24KT.

Molylub CompOil 24 KT oil properties
  • good low temperature characteristics
  • longer service life due to high thermal stability
  • rel. good seal compatibility, please ask for precise information in regard to your material
  • excellent viscosity temperature behaviour

Because silicone compressor oils behave differently than traditional lubricants, they should only be used in compressors specifically designed to operate with silicone fluids. Using the wrong lubricant type can result in performance issues or equipment damage.

Silicone air compressor oil

Silicone air compressor oil is specially formulated to meet the unique requirements of high-temperature air compressor applications, offering superior thermal stability and resistance to oxidation. Silicone oil’s non-reactive properties make it suitable for use in sensitive environments where contamination and chemical interactions must be minimized. With its excellent lubricating characteristics, silicone compressor oil ensures smooth operation and extended service life for compressor components, even under extreme operating conditions.
