Metal cutting synthetic fluid

Water soluble cutting oils

Cutting fluids reduce friction between the cutting tool and the workpiece, which is crucial for tool longevity and precision cutting. This lubrication minimizes wear on the tool and workpiece, extending its lifespan and improving cutting accuracy.

Metal cutting fluid chip removal

Proper chip control ensures that chips are removed from the cutting area, reducing the risk of chip buildup, tool damage, and workpiece surface defects. Cutting fluids help in this regard by aiding in chip evacuation

Molylub CutFluid series fluids

Molylub CutFluid series fluids are an integral part of most machining or chip making processes. Usually mixed with water, they perform several functions including: • Cooling work and tool surfaces • Removal of chips from the cutting area • Contributing to longer tool life • Promoting part surface integrity • Aiding in corrosion control The primary factor in the selection of a fluid is the nature of the machine process and the non-cutting function of the fluid itself. In some cases, as with cast iron, no fluid or coolant is used. Additionally, the method of fluid/coolant application can directly affect chip formation, chip removal, cutting tool life, and surface integrity.

A high performance, universal, water-miscible metalworking fluid containing solvent refined mineral oil with low PAH content,  anionic and non-ionic emulsifiers and polar lubricity improvers and boric acid derivates.

Universal metalworking fluid for all chipforming processes, designed for use from 4.0 % upwards.  Suitable for machining cast iron, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, with the exception of magnesium. When mixed with water of hardness 60 °dH (1080 ppm) or less, Molylub CutFluid Extra will produce stable, opalescent emulsions with excellent wetting properties and superb cooling and detergency.

Metal cutting fluid applications

Universal metalworking fluid for all chipforming processes, designed for use from 4.0 % upwards.  Suitable for machining cast iron, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, with the exception of magnesium. When mixed with water of hardness 60 °dH (1080 ppm) or less, Molylub CutFluid Extrawill produce stable, opalescent emulsions with excellent wetting properties and superb cooling and detergency.

Notes: Classified WGK 2 in Germany – hazardous to water.

Stable when stored at 10  °C/50 °F to 25 °C/77 °F for up to 9 months.  Avoid frost where possible.

Keeping the cutting tool at an optimal temperature is vital for its longevity and performance. Cutting fluids aid in cooling the tool, preventing it from overheating and losing its hardness.

Cutting fluid rust preventive properties

Some cutting fluids contain rust inhibitors that protect the workpiece and machine tool surfaces from corrosion. This is especially important in environments where moisture is present.
