Pastes differ from oils and greases with their high content of solid lubricants, generally above 10%. The main aim of the solid lubricants is not to act as thickeners, although they may do this; it is more about adding properties that a grease or oil lacks. It is precisely in the marginal areas of grease lubrication where grease pastes exhibit their exceptional efficiency.

Molylub QuickTec series anti-seize pastes contain a high concentration of solid lubricants for protecting industrial components from galling, fretting corrosion, stick slip, seizure or damage. They provide corrosion protection, water washout resistance and a consistent coefficient of friction. These solid lubricants remain in place – even at high temperatures and under heavy loads – to help with long-term lubrication. To ensure optimal performance of threaded connections, the appropriate Molylub QuickTec Anti-Seize Paste needs to be selected for the application conditions.

The solid lubricants in paste can reduce wear and scuffing by inhibiting contact also at slow speeds, under extremely high pressure and in oscillatory or shock loads, where standard oils and greases are generally unable to form a sufficiently effective lubricant film. Thread connection lubricating paste, such as Molylub QuickTec anti-seize products, prevents seizing, corrosion, and wear on bolts, fasteners, and industrial fittings. These high-performance pastes ensure consistent clamping force and enable easy dismantling of components exposed to high temperatures, heavy loads, or harsh environments

They prevent seizure of parts subjected to high service temperatures. Under normal conditions, 90% of the torque applied during tightening is absorbed by friction in screw threads and under screw heads. Only 10% of the torque is used to achieve the tightening torque. Molylub pastes make it possible to subsequently disassemble parts without damaging their threads.
