Food Grade industrial grease

NSF H1 food safe bearing grease

Lubrication is critical to machine performance and reliability – but in the food and beverage industry, lubricants can’t just perform; they also must meet tough safety standards from the FDA and USDA. Depending on the application, an H1 or H2 certified lubricant may be required.

Food-grade greases are used in various food-processing equipment and other industrial equipment applications. These include plain and rolling element bearings, joints, linkages and slides, centralized lubrication systems and enclosed gearboxes.

Molylub FoodTec food grade greases

Our Molylub FoodTec food grade greases and oils have been used in food manufacturing operations for years to provide dependable reliable operation. Typical applications include blenders, bottle washers, cams, conveyors, gearboxes, slides, conveyer chains, cookers, bottling machines, packaging equipment, valves, hydraulics, canning machines, bushings and more. We have hundreds of testimonials showcasing how we have helped customers with their lubrication reliability, including critical applications and equipment.

Molylub FoodTec 2 is a synthetic, superior quality food industry grease which outperforms lithium, aluminium and polyurea base standard greases of the same viscosity.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION TEMPERATURES APPLICATION PDF
Molylub FoodTec 2 PAO oil/Li- Ca thickener From -25 up 120 Universal Food /Pharma / Textile
Molylub FoodTec 0 PAO oil/Li- Ca thickener From -30 up 120 Food gears / central lubrication
Molylub Soraja LM 2 PAO oil/ Al Complex thickener From -20 up 140 Food bearings

In all season, it reduces friction, protects against rust, corrosion and oxidation, provides exceptional moisture, wear and load resistance as well as excellent thermal and mechanical stability. Even though the Molylub FoodTec 2 food grade synthetic grease is classified as NLGI 2, it has pumpability characteristics similar to those of NLGI 0 grade: it is best suited for high rotational speeds (between 3000 and 10 000 rpm).

Molylub FoodTec 2 food grade synthetic grease is both POLYVALENT and ECONOMICAL

Encompasses three NLGI grades, thus allowing for reduced grease inventories and less frequent lubricating jobs and, consequently, less energy and grease consumption.

Molylub FoodTec SE 1 poultry cutter grease

Food-grade poultry cutter grease is a specialized, non-toxic lubricant formulated to meet strict food safety regulations (NSF H1 or 3H) while withstanding the high-moisture, high-pressure washdown environments of poultry processing plants. These greases are typically synthetic, water-resistant, and designed to prevent contamination and machine failure.

One of the most modern synthetic oil-based food grade greases. It offers extremely good water resistance and strong adherence, also the good temperature resistance of a synthetic PAO base fluid. May be used for bearings and other lubrication points in food industry, all components conform to the regulations of USDA H1.

Food cutter grease properties
  • free from mineral oil
  • very good corrosion protection
  • free of silicones
  • relatively good compatible with many usually used sealants
  • food grade – all components conform to USDA H1 or the FDA regulations for Lubricants in incidental food contact
  • harmless
  • fully synthetic
  • very good water resistance
  • tasteless
  • good tackiness
  • odour less
Food grade grease applications
  1. for gear boxes in food industry
  2. for assembly of O-rings
  3. for bearings in refrigeration equipment
  4. for chains in food industry, for packing and filling machines
  5. for bearings at funnels and weirs
  6. for slide bars in butcheries or slaughterhouses
  7. for anti-friction and sleeve bearings in fish production
  8. for hooks, sleeve elements, rolls, joints, clutches

Poultry processing is one of the most demanding environments for industrial lubrication. Chains, bearings and gearboxes run under continuous mechanical load while being exposed to daily high-pressure washdowns, aggressive disinfectants, blood, condensation and temperature extremes. This ranges from evisceration lines to spiral chiller zones. Conventional lubricants wash away within hours. The result is chain rust, bearing seizure, gearbox leakage and recurring unplanned stoppages, each one measurable in lost production, spare parts and audit risk
