High temperature
High temperature grease
High temperature resistant synthetic grease

High-temperature bearing maintenance requires specialized, high-temperature synthetic lor dry lubricants, frequent re-lubrication, and monitoring with infrared thermometers for hotspots. Essential actions include minimizing heat transfer through shaft cooling, using heat-resistant, open-type designs, or switching to self-lubricating bearings to prevent rapid oxidation and failure.
When rolling element or sleeve bearings operate under extreme conditions, it’s more important than ever to follow proper lubrication selection and maintenance procedures to maximize effective life and efficient performance. Long-term analysis of field data shows that the lack of proper lubrication is the most commonly cited cause of bearing failure.
Industrial PFPE grease for highest temperatures
Choosing the right lubrication method is critical for managing bearing temperatures, as it directly affects heat dissipation and friction. Oil bath lubrication, for example, is ideal for low- to medium-speed applications where consistent cooling is needed. The oil not only reduces friction but also absorbs and disperses heat away from the bearing.
For higher-temperature or high-speed applications, advanced synthetic oils can provide superior stability and longevity, reducing the frequency of relubrication. In extreme conditions, dry lubricants like graphite or molybdenum disulfide are often used because of their ability to withstand high temperatures that would cause other oils to break down.

High-temperature bearing lubrication requires specialized synthetic greases, solid lubricants, or dry coatings to function effectively above 150*C, where conventional mineral oils fail. Key lubricants include PFPE/PTFE, silicone, or graphite-based pastes, which prevent oxidation, reduce friction via solid lubricant films (like MoS2 or Graphite), and withstand temperatures up to 1000*C.
Oven temperature grease
High-temperature greases are especially suited to extended use at high temperatures. The temperature resistance of greases is particularly important in the following applications:
- bearings in equipment exposed to high temperatures, oven conveyors bearings,
- bearings in the wheel hubs of trolleys used in core drying ovens, steam turbine governor linkages,
- knife switches, swivel connections on electrical insulators,
- aircraft engine turbines, air kiln preheater fans, oven fans, radiator fan motors, textile slashers and dryers, aircraft engines, conveyor systems.
Ultra high temperature grease with solids
High-temperature grease is a specialized lubricating formula designed to operate in extreme thermal conditions. Our high-temp greases maintain full effectiveness even at temperatures reaching 300 °C and more, minimizing mechanism wear and protecting critical connections against seizing or corrosion.
Molylub grease for high temperatures is a mixture of base oils enriched with graphite, molybdenum, or ceramic additives, as well as oxidation and corrosion inhibitors. Upon application, it creates a thin but durable protective layer that:
- maintains constant viscosity in the range from –20 °C to +300 °C,
- reduces friction and surface wear under heavy loads,
- prevents seizing of threads and valves,
- protects against corrosion in the presence of moisture and exhaust gases,
- does not run off or oxidize under the influence of high heat.
Key Molylub HighTemp grease Properties
- Thermal resistance: formulas up to +300 °C and above
- Viscosity stability: no separation or evaporation
- EP Protection: anti-wear additives increase film load capacity
- Corrosion resistance: inhibitors protect metal surfaces
